A bowl full of things I'm loving today

  • That Brad got to stay home with us today because it took him 3 hours (normally a 20 minute commute) to get home last night in a whopping 2 inches of snow
  • That we all got to take naps after pulling an all-nighter due to Grace's ear infection
  • That the second 24-hour pharmacy that Brad drove to at 2 am was really a 24-hour pharmacy
  • That Grace got antibiotic and numbing drops for the above mentioned ear infection
  • That the temperature is suppose to get into the 60s next week
  • That (thanks to my friend Kathleen) I now have a chiropractor with a prenatal masseuse on staff
  • And that we finally finished making our valentine crayon heart necklaces for all of Grace and Lila's friends.  Thanks to Aunt Rosemary for the inspiration on this one!
*Here are the directions for making crayon hearts.   To turn them into necklaces, after they come out of the oven, let them set for a few minutes.  We then used wooden skewers (cut down to about 1 inch in length) and placed them in each crayon until they were hard and cooled.  When you remove the heart from the mold, you may need to poke the skewer through.  String through a ribbon and voila!  A traveling art activity and gorgeous accessory!
