Crossing paths
On Friday, June 24th we welcomed June Mary Wilson into the world. Her arrival was beautiful and surrounded by a perfect palpable love. The first moment I held her in my arms - next to my heart - I was filled with an indescribable joy, grace and peace.
On Wednesday, June 29th we said goodbye to Bubba (my dad) as he left the world. His departure was beautiful and also surrounded by a perfect palpable love. I held my hand on his heart as he slipped away and I was filled with an indescribable sorrow, grace and peace.
Bubba and June briefly crossed paths as he held her in his arms for several moments before he left. I believe this baby girl was meant to cross paths with her Bubba - to tell him that the way was clear and surrounded by love.
My heart is broken. But also filled with so much love and gratitude that I feel as though it may burst.
My dad adored this blog more than anyone - so I will keep it up after a little break to be with my family.

I love you Sarah. What an incredible experience. I'm so glad June got to meet Bubba. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI am so, so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved father. He is in heaven and will watch over you and little June Mary! He will forever be in your heart with all the wonderful memories you have of time spent together. Never forget that!! I am sending you a great big bear hug of comfort for you and your family, but especially for you. I know what it feels like to lose you Dad. It hurts, but know the love will live on in his memories. You are a wonderful daughter and Mother and wife. Take care and may God hold you close to His heart at this time.
All my love and prayers to you.
Love,
Faith
My Uncle posted this on facebook with the above picture. It is so beautiful:
ReplyDeleteA true full circle of life. June Mary, born June 24, meets her Bubba, bereaved June 29. Bubba sleeps now and June wails her way unto life's embrace. A candle lit; a candle rejoiced. Both deeply loved.
