The good, the bad and the kindergarten

My sister-in-law, Rosemary, sent me this link to a post about preparing for Kindergarten.  One recommendation is to use a calendar to “journal” about the school year by having your child tell you her favorite thing from the day, and write it on the calendar.  I've decided to do this for Grace except I don't always write her favorite thing - sometimes I write the bad stuff too - just so that we can look back at this time in her life and laugh (or cry).  I picked up the perfect calendar last weekend and below are some of the entries:

Aug. 10 (at Kindergarten orientation): Mom, kindergarten has Fancy Nancy!
Aug. 12: Mom, I hate to tell you this, but I don't like kindergarten.
Aug. 17: me: What was you favorite thing today?  Grace: Nap time.
Aug. 24: Elizabeth picked me to help her pick-up chairs.  You're suppose to pick a friend and she picked ME!
